Senior MEP Commercial Manager – Project Based

£85k - £95k DOE + Package
Ashbys Consulting are currently recruiting for a Senior Commercial Manager (MEP) to work for a global contractor in their Engineering Services division on Science and Healthcare projects in London.
Job Purpose:
- To be a project based Senior Commercial Manager to join our clients Engineering Services Science and Health team to tender, win and deliver high value projects (£50m – £100m).
- You will deliver a quality service and product to our clients in line with the project goals by working with the project team and applying our client’s culture, systems and procedures.
General:
- A strong track record in the Science, Healthcare and Technology construction market with associated contacts and relationships.
- Appropriate skills to prepare and lead commercial elements of bid proposals and presentations to win projects.
- Strong presentation skills and the ability to lead high level meetings.
- Plan resource requirements for assigned projects, managing and personally working with the project teams to recruit and select quality colleagues.
- Support/Lead pre-construction procurement in liaison with site team
- Maintain and develop supply chain relationships
- Maintain metrics for projects
- Proactively manage and monitor the change process and financial reporting for assigned projects to ensure commercial and relationship risk avoidance and management.
- Establish and maintain regular project team meetings that include risk assessment and management as key agenda items.
- Develop and grow positive relationships with clients and client professional teams for all assigned projects
Experience:
- Experience of delivering large scale or multiple medium value projects.
- Experience in all forms of contract but NEC in particular.
- Relationships with clients/consultants and suppliers which will raise the profile of the business and lead to new opportunities.
- Evidence of strong interpersonal and people management skills are essential.
- Commercial awareness: understanding and ability to meet commercial objectives whilst retaining relationships and company values.
- Quality driven; demonstrates attitude and experience of delivery projects based on quality, attention to detail and client satisfaction.
