Are you passionate about creating sustainable and energy-efficient buildings? A large sized multi-disc consultancy wants you to join their dynamic team at a prominent boutique building services practice in Glasgow, and be a driving force in shaping the future of sustainable design!

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Sustainability Consultant specializing in Building Physics, you will be a key player in their thriving consultancy, taking on high-level responsibilities to guide projects of varying complexities. You will have the unique opportunity to lead projects from start to finish, developing strategies that align with their commitment to sustainability and energy efficiency. Your technical expertise in building physics will be vital as you contribute to the success of projects across a diverse range of sectors including high-end residential, multi-million-pound master plans, and heritage conservation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage projects, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Utilize your in-depth knowledge of building physics to develop sustainable design strategies that optimize energy performance and minimize environmental impact.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to integrate sustainable solutions into project designs.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their unique sustainability goals and tailor strategies accordingly.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in sustainable building practices.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Building Physics, Engineering, Sustainability).
  • Demonstrable experience (5+ years for Senior, 3+ years for Intermediate) in leading projects related to building physics and sustainable design.
  • Strong technical expertise in building physics and energy modeling software.
  • Knowledge of NABERS would be highly desirable.
  • Excellent project management skills with a track record of delivering successful outcomes.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and engage with clients.
  • Passion for sustainability and a commitment to creating environmentally responsible buildings.
